Bicycle in Glacier National Park – Montana

For amazing views and a challenging yet incredibly rewarding ride Glacier National Park is definitely a must see. The tight road runs above the tree line for most of the ride. The roads are only open until 6 p.m. to avoid accidents so an early morning start is ideal.

Kayak in the Apostle Islands – Wisconsin

Rafting on the Gauley River – West Virginia

With Class IV and Class V rapids from September through October this is one of the best places to go rafting east of the Mississippi. The difficulty may put off some amateurs but as long as they are in good physical shape their guide can get them through the ride.
