Universal Studios Open New Transformers Ride
The hot weather in Florida proved to be a small problem for Transformer fans that stood in line to get access to the new Transformers ride at Universal Studios.
The new ride seems to have it all, a ton of special effects coupled with some stomach churning falls and some very realistic robot battles that will certainly make any fan and visitor of Orlando’s park very satisfied.
The opening of the new ride was done right and had an impressive fireworks show as well as its own song, sung by the band Cheap Trick. The red carpet was also present and alongside Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, director Steven Spielberg also made an appearance.
The new ride simulates a battle sequence between the movies main protagonists, the Decepticons and the Autobots. It uses some impressive technology like flight simulators, huge movie screens, and wind, smoke and heat simulators that make the whole thing seem genuine.
The ride was praised by Tom Williams, CEO of Universal Parks that said it’s not like most rides where you’re simply a spectator, with the new Transformers ride you’re in the middle of the action.
The new Transformers ride was created with the help of the movie’s creator Michael Bay, that has the fourth part of the franchise ready to premiere by 2014.
