“Up Late With Alec Baldwin” Canceled By MSNBC
Alec Baldwin and executives at MSNBC have mutually decided this Tuesday to end the actor’s talk show called “Up Late with Alec Baldwin”. Matthew Hiltzik, one of Baldwin’s representatives confirmed that both parties agreed that the show “will not continue on MSNBC”.
“Up Late with Alec Baldwin” took a two weak break after Baldwin was suspended from the network as footage of him shouting homophobic slurs at a paparazzi supposedly appeared. Baldwin commented on the supposed video saying he did not realize his first remark was a homophobic slur and denied the second one entirely.
The actor came out with a statement when his show was suspended saying that while he did not intend to insult anyone, he realizes that he did and apologizes for his actions. He added that he understands the weight words carry and has vowed to choose his more carefully.
Baldwin also addressed the show’s possible canceling prior to this Tuesday’s decision. He said that if canceled the show would just follow the fate of most start-up TV programs. He added that he takes pride in the fact that he beat CNN in ratings in each night the show aired.
Alec Baldwin finally addressed his paparazzi troubles and said that if he needs to quit theater, movies and any other form of entertainment to “bring safety” to his family he will have no problem taking that decision.
