Waiting Time For iPhone 6 Plus Reduced
The waiting time for the 16GB and the 64GB models of the iPhone 6 Plus through the online store of Apple has shortened to one business day. The change is a welcome development for customers interested in getting the latest smartphone offering of Apple.
On the other hand, the waiting time for the 128GB model has been reduced to three to five business days. This is shorter than the seven to ten business days at the start of the week. However, the 16GB and 64GB models of the Apple iPhone 6 have a waiting time of one to three business days. The 128GB model has a waiting time of five to seven days.
The new shipping times show an improvement in the inventory of the two new models of the iPhone. Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray revealed that the new phones will be available for all customers at this point. The supply of the iPhone 5S last year met the demand near the start of December. However, the larger display of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus poses a new challenge for the company.
Katy Huberty of Morgan Stanley revealed the demand for the iPhone surpassed expectations. The demand for the latest iPhone models was at around 67 million units, according to AlphaWise Smartphone Tracker. It is higher than 62-million-unit estimate of Morgan Stanley.
Consumers are advised to purchase the latest model of the iPhone through a local Apple store to make sure it arrives by Christmas. While the latest smartphone offering of Apple is available in other third-party retail chains, the website of Apple is the best option due to the reduction in the waiting time for the device.
