“Walking Dead” Gets Fourth Season
With the ending of the first half of season three leaving us craving for more AMC has announced that their most popular show will be given a new season.
The people at AMC also announced that “Walking Dead” executive producer and showrunner Glen Mazzara will be leaving the show.
The official statement stated said “Today, AMC announces the Season 4 pick-up of The Walking Dead. AMC also jointly announces with Glen Mazzara today that for future season, the two parties have mutually decided to part ways. Glen guided the series creatively for Season 2 and 3. AMC is grateful for his hard work. We are both proud of our shared success. Both parties acknowledge that there is a difference of opinion about where the show should go moving forward, and conclude that it is best to part ways. This decision is amicable and Glen will remain on for post-production on Season 3B as showrunner and executive producer.”
This is the second showrunner the “Walking Dead” show has lost as Frank Darabont also left the show after the first season. A replacement for Glen Mazzara has not yet been named.
The second part of season three of “Walking Dead” will start airing in since February 10th.
