Whitney Houston Greatest Hits Album Coming Soon

According to Billboard, the “first authoritative greatest hits album” of Whitney Houston will be released by the RCA records this fall.

Whitney: The Greatest Hits, the late singer’s hits album, were released in 2000. Reports claimed that the album that will be released is expected to cover the whole singing career of Houston.

After Whitney Houston’s death, her previous hits album became the fourth biggest-selling record this year. The album sells 836,000 so far. Since the album’s debut, it was also sold collectively 2.6 million copies in USA alone.

The soundtrack of the movie Sparkle, which was the last film of the late singer, was out on August 17 and has been included in the Billboard’s radar too. The soundtrack sells 12.000 of copies in its first week being released.

For her entire singing career, Whitney Houston had earned 39 hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100. Out of the 39 hit singles, 11 of these have reached No. 1 of the Billboard. This fact gave the producers of the new project an easy job for they will have a wide range of songs to choose from.

Exact date of which the upcoming album of Houston will be released has yet to be announced.
