Windows 10 Coming To Windows 7 And 8 PCs

PCs using Windows 7 and 8 are may already be downloading Windows 10, the latest version of the operating system of Microsoft. A secret folder is being used by the software company to download the new OS. Users can find the secret folder by using File Explorer and clicking on Organize, then Folder Options, View and Show hidden files, folders and drives.

The new OS takes up around 6GB of space, which makes it a considerable download for Windows users. Users can check the progress of the download by right-clicking on the folder.

Due to the significant size of the software, capped broadband plan users may complain since they cannot control when the latest OS will download into their PCs. It also automatically updates after the download is done.

On the other hand, the automatic download of the new OS into PCs over the next few days will allow Microsoft to efficiently distribute the OS to Windows users. This is important since the company aims to release Windows 10 to more than a billion PCs around the world. It will reduce bandwidth issues normally associated with manually downloading software.

While the new OS balances the enhancements of Windows 8 with the familiarity of users with Windows 7, the software giant is already preparing a major update by October. This means the initial release of Windows 10 may not free of any issues.
