Windows 10 To be Pushed To More Business Users

The Windows 10 OS is set to be released to Windows 7 Pro and Windows 8.1 Pro users. The Get Windows 10 app is expected to come out of the task bar of these previously off-limits users, which indicates that can upgrade to the latest OS of Microsoft.

However, the policy change will be limited to devices connected to an Active Directory domain and are set to receive updates directly from the Windows Update service. Pop-ups encouraging business users with this setup to update their devices will come out of the app. This update will be free of charge.

Windows PC users with a normal configuration may not be annoyed by the notification since it is the same message that came out of their home desktop. The policy change is part of the ongoing effort of Microsoft in pushing its latest OS upgrade to more people and encourages them to use it before the expiration of the free upgrade in July.

However, people and the IT departments of small businesses can also disable the app by following a set of instructions provided by Microsoft. The free Windows 10 OS upgrade is not available to the Enterprise editions of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, which means big businesses do not have to worry about this.

The move is a part of the overall strategy of Microsoft in pushing the latest OS in the second half of the first year it was made available in the market. The company already announced it plans of promoting Windows 10 as a recommended update before the end of the year. Due to this, the installer will be automatically downloaded and users will be prompted to use it. Users will be given the option to use the new OS or not.

For the moment, the company is confident about the reliability of the new OS and its capability of attracting new users who may want to use it. The main issue is the reaction of the general public in the aggressive push of the company to encourage users to use the Windows 10 OS.
