WWE Star Darren Young Says He Is Happy After Coming Out

Just 24 hours after wrestling star Darren Young came out and became the first openly gay wrestler with a contract for the WWE, the big man says he is happier than ever.

The wrestling superstar said that he had been holding back and suppressing his feelings and who he really was for the biggest part of his life, however, he can say that from this day until he is “six feet under” he will strive to stay as happy a man as he is after coming out as an openly gay athlete.

He also said that the decision wasn't an easy one, and that he was scared, even terrified but that he managed to gather the courage to make this life changing decision.

Young told the world he was gay this Thursday after a reporter stopped him for an interview at LAX. The athlete said that it felt like this was the perfect place and the right time for the announcement.

He said that coming out can also help a lot of other people get the courage to express what they truly feel and who they really are. After his announcement Darren Young received support from colleagues the media and was reconfirmed as a valued member of the WWE team who said in a statement that they are proud of their superstar.
