Xbox Live Suffers Outage Again
A good number of users are unable to access Xbox Live, and it appears that Microsoft is uncertain about the reason for this outage. The issue occurred on Wednesday at around 2 PM EST. During this time, owners of Xbox 360 and Xbox One game consoles were not able to sign into their accounts.
The software giant revealed that it was currently working on finding the reason behind the issue. In previous issues, Microsoft revealed it was already working on restoring the service, which indicates that it had an idea on the reason for the outage. The responses of the Xbox Support team of the company to the current outage give an indication that the company has no idea about the reason behind the sign-in problems of its users.
This is the first major interruption of the service for 2015. It comes behind the heels another major outage a month ago. The outage last month started on Christmas day and took over 24 hours for Microsoft to fix. The outage was caused by a notorious group of hackers who call themselves the Lizard Squad. The network also experienced extended outages in November of last year.
The Xbox Support team gave owners of the Xbox 360 and Xbox One game consoles a link to a website created for issues hounding the Xbox Live network.
