Young Thug Arrested After Threatening A Mall Guard
Young Thug was arrested recently after he reportedly made “terroristic” threats against a mall security guard. The rapper is reportedly held in a jail outside Atlanta. The 23-year-old rapper was arrested by US marshals on Wednesday morning based on a warrant issued by the Dunwoody police.
The rapper did not resist arrest when he was apprehended inside a Sandy Springs home. He was later brought to the DeKalb County jail, according to the Jim Joyner of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force of the US Marshals.
Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, is popular for Stoner, his 2013 single. His arrest came after he threatened to shoot a Perimeter Mall security guard, who told him he had to leave the building a week ago. It remains uncertain if the rapper already has a lawyer. The arrest did not appear on online jail records.
A witness to the incident last week said a security guard of the mall told the rapper and his entourage that they may be banned from the mall after they rode a two-wheeled Hovertrax in the mall. A Hovertrax is an auto-balancing transporter that uses technology similar to the one used on a Segway.
