Zayn Malik of One Direction recently got engaged to Perrie Edwards. The news followed the appearance of Edwards at the premiere of “This Is Us” in London. The 19-year-old singer wore a three-diamond ring as she walked the red carpet.

A representative of the music label of One Direction confirmed the engagement of Malik to Edwards. However, no other details were revealed by the representative since the relationship was private.

The Little Mix singer also tweeted about the report on her engagement to Zayn Malik.

The mother of the singer, Debbie Dufty, revealed more details about the engagement. She said that it was official and that the two were in love. She also indicated that her daughter did not want draw attention to the engagement at the red carpet since the premiere was about Malik and his band mates.

Jonnie Edwards, the brother of Perrie also confirmed the news and congratulated the two. However, since there were some people who did not take the news positively, he thanked most of the fans of the boy band for their support. He added that Zayn Malik must be happy with the engagement.

Edwards and Malik met on the “X-Factor” UK set and started to see each other in 2011. Malik also showed a tattoo about his fiancée, which shows everything that he likes about her. He said that she was surprised by the tattoo but later started to love it.

On the other hand, the other members of the band have their own relationships status. One is in a relationship while another is dating an old friend. Another member is linked to someone. The only publicly single member of One Direction is Harry Styles.
